Arno B. Kemp
Arno Kemp has extensive global human recourse management and employee development experience gained in North America, the Middle East and Africa. He has held senior management and executive roles within human resource management in Saudi Arabia and South Africa within the banking and telecoms industries, as well as senior training positions in the financial services and recruitment industries in the Middle East and Africa.
It was in Mexico that Arno discovered his true passion for training and coaching, as he started evolving into a professional trainer while working within large organizations like General Electric Mexico and The French Bank Mexico, for the next two years. He subsequently accepted more challenging opportunities within adult learning when he was appointed Academic Director at Al Faisal University in Saudi Arabia. He was later approached by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency’s Institute of Banking, where he spent the next three years as Lead Instructor within in the Institute’s English language faculty.
Arno returned to South Africa where he re-established himself in the world of business and spent the next few years working for large stock exchange listed companies like the Kelly Group and ADvTECH, in senior training and management roles within the recruitment and financial services industries. Arno decided to pursue post-graduate studies and to fund this took up an offer to return to the Institute of Banking in Saudi Arabia, where he also conducted the research for his dissertation on adult learning theories.
In 2011 Arno graduated with an MSc in Training and HRM from the University of Leicester, UK after which he accepted an offer to head up a new talent management division at Bank Al-Bilad in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as head of training and development. He returned to Cape Town in 2013, where he was People Executive at The Training Room Online until approached by Sale-Co, the largest telecoms distributor in the Middle East, to join them as Director of their newly established HR Business Partner Division.
Arno is a native bilingual English / Afrikaans speaker, who also speaks advanced Spanish, intermediate German, and basic Arabic.
