Day 1
Adopting an analytics mindset
This session provides participants with the background knowledge required for successful implementation of human capital analytics projects and adopting the right analytical mindset.
Module 1: Describe Business Partnering (BP) and its value
• Getting clear on the key differences between people analytics, workfore analytics, talent analytics and HR / Financial analytics.
• Understanding that analytical processes to solve business problems
• Knowing the differences between Data, Measures, Metrics, KPI’s, Analytics and how they apply to the participants’ organisations
Why having a balance of qualitative and quantitative data is critical
• The importance of an analytics mindset and the 5 factors of creating BP intelligence
• Gaining a clear understanding of the Business Impact model – Hindsight to Foresight model
Module 2: Demonstrate the link between BP activities and business outcomes
• Getting clear on the different levels of data maturity from operational (level 1) to prescriptive (level 5)
• Creating value and creditability moving from transactional reporting to transformational and strategic data insight
• Data analytics starting with the business problems
• Creating value by being output and outcome driven over input and activity focus
• Understanding the key steps needed to be evidence base in using your data analytics
Module 3: Define the analytics process / scientific method
• Creating greater impact & influence through challenging assumptions through understanding:
• Segmentation
• Correlation, trends, themes
• Causation
• Coincidence
• Cofounding factors
• Plausible Relationships (testing/challenging hypotheses)
• Understanding the 5 V’s of big data Data analytics
• What is data mining and how it delivers real meaningful insights
Day 2
Making HR Data impactful and value-enhancing
Day Two: provides participants with the background knowledge required for defining the right questions to ask so you can present data with impact and influence. Furthermore, participants will be introduced to creating compelling HR dashboards.
Module 4: Establish buy-in and recognition for BP projects with the right data approach
• How to use the 5 steps methods to pushing back on data requests with credibility
Creating greater BP impact & influence through challenging assumptions
• What questions to ask of your data that solves problems and provides insight on what to measures
• Creating a framework for linking issues and metrics
Module 5: Presenting and embedding a culture of evidence-based decisions in your HR department and business
• The three types of presentation structures to use when presenting your data
•Knowing what to put into your data presentations for maximum impact and influence (your data narrative and story)
• Key points your data presentations need to meet
• How to present data that hits all your audience members
• The use of visuals over graphs
Module 6: Build a BP dashboard that demonstrates your BP value to stakeholders
• Understanding what measures and metrics need to go into creating a compelling dashboard
• The use of lead measures over lag measures
• Using your HR dashboard as a compass
How your dashboard needs to pass the 3 sec rule
• What metrics and icons make up your dashboard

What language will the course be taught in and what level of English do I need to take part in an LEORON training program?
