•Differentiating estimate types used for small and large construction projects

•Applying engineering judgement to refine estimates as project information develops

Estimating in Practice

•Comparing estimate accuracy across project phases and stakeholder needs

•Using estimates to support facility and quality decision-making

Activity: Estimate comparison, participants compare estimate types against a project's planning and design stage

DAY 2
Project Planning and Scheduling

•The uses of schedules and the main types of scheduling methods

•How scheduling supports building a project on paper before committing resources

•Using schedules as a communication tool across facility, quality, and engineering teams

Scheduling for Delivery

•Sequencing activities and dependencies to protect project milestones

•Applying scheduling discipline to reduce delay and rework risk

Activity: Schedule build, participants sequence activities and dependencies for a sample project

DAY 3
Project Controls in Practice

•Building a control dashboard to track cost, time, and quality together

•Using control data to support timely decision-making and corrective action

Activity: Control-cycle mapping, participants map a control cycle for cost, time, or quality on a current project

•Translating estimating, scheduling, and control insight into a field operations leadership agenda

•Aligning cost, schedule, quality, and administrative practice into one approach

Roadmap Development

•Consolidating estimating, scheduling, and control priorities into one portfolio plan

•Defining the first 90 days of action; peer review and facilitator feedback

Activity: Produce a one-page field operations roadmap for your portfolio and complete edX assessments for the certificate

What language will the course be taught in and what level of English do I need to take part in an LEORON training program?
Most of our public courses are delivered in English language. You need to be proficient in English to be able to fully participate in the workshop and network with other delegates. For in-house courses we have the capability to train in Arabic, Dutch, German and Portuguese.
Are LEORON Public courses certified by an official body/organization?
LEORON Institute partners with 20+ international bodies and associations.We also award continuing professional development credits (CPE/PDUs) for:1. What is the deadline for registering to a public course?
The deadline to register for a public course is 14 days before the course starts. Kindly note that occasionally we do accept late registrations as well, but this needs to be confirmed with the project manager of the training program or with our registration desk that can be reached at +1071 4 1075 5711 or [email protected].
What does the course fee cover?
The course fee covers a premium training experience in a 5-star hotel, learning materials, lunches & refreshments, and for some courses, the certification fee and membership with the accrediting bodies.
Does LEORON give discounts?
