Fernando Guimaraes

Fernando is a Legal & Compliance executive with a solid career of 25+ years in major corporations in the Oil, Retail, Healthcare, Agroindustry, and Logistics industries. His areas of expertise include Compliance, Governance, Contracts and Leadership. Throughout his career, he has been highly praised by his peers, clients, and team members as a true leader and business partner, always performing within ethical principles. Over the course of his career, Fernando has led teams to obtain success in different industries, structures, and environments, with a strong result-driven and business-oriented approach, leading by example, and at the same time maintaining a good working environment. Fernando has been an instructor for 21+ years, initially training professionals from all areas and levels in the organizations where he worked, and later training international executives from all continents and more than a few organizations from several industries. He is also a lecturer at two of Brazil’s best business law schools and has been a speaker/panelist in several events throughout his career. He is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Leicester, a Master of Law, Justice and Development, and has an MBA in Business Law.Fernando is the author of the book chapter entitled “Legal Security as an incentive for investments, in the light of Law and Economics”, which is part of the book “Social and Economic Administrative Law”, published by Almedina Group.
