Course Overview

Working environments are becoming increasingly uncertain, and traditional approaches to organisational strategy are no longer sufficient. In a rapidly changing business landscape, strategy development needs to evolve to adopt a broader view of thinking.  In the Oxford Executive Strategy Programme, you’ll explore a contemporary approach to organisational strategy, drawing on active Oxford research that has guided the leadership of global organisations. Breadth, or thinking broadly within strategy, has become as critical as thinking long-term. With this underlying theme, you’ll explore strategy techniques through the distinct framework based on extensive research from Oxford Saïd faculty, focusing on the four Ps of strategy:

  • Purposes: The fundamental aspirations calling for action in an organisation
  • Players: The key stakeholders who drive the successful delivery of a strategy
  • Partnerships: The web of competitive and collaborative relationships that sustain a strategy
  • Processes: The means by which strategies are made and delivered

This highly practical online programme enables you to engage with rich global case studies and culminates in the creation of a personalised strategy playbook to use within your organisation. You’ll walk away prepared to grow your role and lead strategy in complex environments with this unique Oxford approach.
