•How the construction contract and project delivery method shape sustainable outcomes

•Comparing delivery models and contract structures against organisational sustainability goals

The Facility Manager as Owner's Representative

•Positioning facility and property managers as owner's representatives on sustainable projects

•Engaging stakeholders early in sustainable planning, design, and construction decisions

Activity: Delivery-method mapping, participants match project delivery methods to their organisation's sustainability priorities

DAY 2
Sustainable Construction Methods and Technology

•Sustainable construction methods and processes, from BIM to laser scanning and drone surveying

•The critical path method as a scheduling approach for sustainable construction projects

•Applying digital construction documentation tools to quality and progress tracking

Managing the Build for Sustainability

•Reducing emissions and waste during the construction phase

•Coordinating trades and contractors around sustainable construction milestones

Activity: Emissions and schedule mapping, participants identify reduction opportunities on a live or recent project

Building Systems and Environmental Management

•Methods, materials, and equipment used to mitigate environmental damage to buildings

Energy Management and Renewable Energy

•Energy management, renewable energy use, and control of energy consumption

•Evaluating renewable energy options against organisational energy-reduction targets

Strategic Sustainable Planning

•Applying the latest trends in sustainable construction management to organisational strategy

•Building the internal case for high-performance project investment

Activity: Certification and energy-target mapping, participants select a green building certification pathway for a project

DAY 5
Sustainable Construction Leadership in Practice

•Translating sustainable construction insight into a facility, quality, or engineering leadership agenda

•Aligning project delivery, maintenance, and energy strategy into one sustainability plan

Roadmap Development

•Consolidating design, construction, and operations priorities into one portfolio plan

•Defining the first 90 days of action; peer review and facilitator feedback

Activity: Produce a one-page sustainable construction roadmap for your portfolio and complete edX assessments for the certificate

What language will the course be taught in and what level of English do I need to take part in an LEORON training program?
Most of our public courses are delivered in English language. You need to be proficient in English to be able to fully participate in the workshop and network with other delegates. For in-house courses we have the capability to train in Arabic, Dutch, German and Portuguese.
Are LEORON Public courses certified by an official body/organization?
LEORON Institute partners with 20+ international bodies and associations.We also award continuing professional development credits (CPE/PDUs) for:1. What is the deadline for registering to a public course?
The deadline to register for a public course is 14 days before the course starts. Kindly note that occasionally we do accept late registrations as well, but this needs to be confirmed with the project manager of the training program or with our registration desk that can be reached at +1071 4 1075 5711 or [email protected].
What does the course fee cover?
The course fee covers a premium training experience in a 5-star hotel, learning materials, lunches & refreshments, and for some courses, the certification fee and membership with the accrediting bodies.
Does LEORON give discounts?
Yes, we can provide discounts for group bookings. If you would like to discuss a discount on a corporate level, we will be happy to talk to you.
